Long term agreement with a Mentor

If you are looking to work with a mentor longterm – whether it be coaching or for them to do hands on work – we love this and fully support it!

The most important thing to mention is that all of the above should be with someone that you have met with at least 1 time if not a few times to ensure that you are a good fit and mesh well together.

Recurring calls – long term mentorship

Many mentors are super happy to hear back from people after a few weeks and hear the progress when they had a good first call and the mentor feels that they can really help the person.  

With that being said, they may not want weekly calls when there is nothing to report back on as things take time, so please be mindful when you want to book a follow-up call – that you do indeed have results to discuss.

If you are looking for a set schedule of recurring calls with a mentor, ask them if they are open to it and what that arrangement would look like.

2 most common set-ups for recurring calls

  1. If the mentor is keen to meet with you at no charge and they don’t charge for their sessions on the platform- you can just keep booking through the system according to the schedule you have both agreed upon.
  2. If the mentor would like to charge for their time, you can set that up amongst yourselves and pay the mentor directly to avoid the platform fee.

Over the years we have seen all sorts of arrangements – it really just depends on the connection you make during the first call.

Hiring a mentor to do hands on work

If you have done a call with someone and want to hire them- just ask them! GrowthMentor has a no pitch policy, so they aren’t going to offer their services unless you ask first.
