We hope that you will have a look at each and every session request and ask yourself if you think you can help this person in the situation they have described.
Of course you probably want to help everyone, but it’s important to be reasonable when accepting calls with mentees.
Ask for more information
If you are not satisfied with the information they have given in their request, please ask them for more information.
It is better for both parties to enter the call fully prepared to make best use of the call time.
Not a good fit
If the session request is not a good fit for you, please message the mentee and let them know why you don’t think you’re a good fit for them before hitting decline.*
Perhaps you can suggest another mentor that you think would be a good fit.
The main thing is to communicate and not just hit decline.
* At this point declined sessions do not show on your dashboard so you can’t get back to them to message after you hit the button- so please leave your message first.
