Want to create the right go-to-market strategy, demonstrate product-market fit, and set up successful operations? Then I can help. 18 years of experience building e-commerce businesses is at your disposal.

Describe yourself

Serial builder turned entrepreneur. I’ve spent most of my career building businesses ground up at Amazon and with startups. I help early-stage founders validate business models, build GTM, and hire a solid team.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

After having learnt about creating and scaling businesses over the past 19 years, I want to help founders accelerate their learning and succeed.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

1. Thinking big, not being constrained by challenges
2. Humility to learn from mistakes, fast.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

How to prioritize and focus on a winning strategy. Most startups succeed or fail based on execution, not the idea. I bring learning from all my past failures and successes to help you build a solid business model and GTM strategy.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

Helped a bootstrapped startup founder offering marketing services to commerce brands, address the problem of budget and time constraints. We changed the service offerings and pricing strategy that made their clients happier and resulted in the business doubling within 6 months.

Describe yourself

I am a fintech founder with a skillset in sales & marketing growth. I have worked with technical founders and brought SaaS products to market and mentored teams to build growth functions. I have had some wins and some failures on my journey but always learning.

I have been a fintech founder and failed and succeeded and would love to learn from others and share my experiences.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset is a commitment to always learn not only from your success but your failures. The humility to try new things and learn from others with different perspectives. The commitment to finding structure and processes and documenting it for others to learn from and implement as you grow.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

I enjoy mentoring technical founders on sales psychology and structured sales processes. I enjoy seeing others learn to sell and understanding the process and levers that are required to close a deal.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

We live in a digital world but never overlook offline sales opportunities. Twice I have had great success with offline prospecting and sales when trying to engage hard-to-reach accounts. I achieved this by sending personalized cupcakes with QR codes to customized landing pages with custom welcome videos which lead to booked meetings and sales. Another time with my team we designed, printed, and posted customized playbooks for prospects and sent them in the post to prospects which again led to new business.

Describe yourself

A true globetrotter having lived in 7 different countries, I am a multicultural, mindful leader who has been mentoring and challenging others out of their comfort zone for over a decade while working with renowned billion-dollar brands like NIVEA, Oreo, M&M’s, and IQOS. Fueled by a passion for storytelling, brand building, animal welfare, and sports, I thrive on unleashing people’s potential through fostering growth mindsets and creating transformative marketing strategies that drive business impact.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

As an experienced leader with over 15 years of global marketing expertise in scaling billion-dollar brands and pioneering successful categories, coupled with my fervent dedication to unleashing individuals’ potential, I am eager to serve as a growth mentor within this community to empower people in overcoming obstacles and realizing their true potential for success.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset is an insatiable hunger to continually learn, grow, and reach new heights by embracing challenges, not fearing mistakes or failure, avoiding complacency, and persistently striving to expand one’s knowledge and capabilities through every opportunity. I’ve got a saying “Don’t say I can’t without trying several times!” – which is a challenge to the fixed mindset.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Growth mindset – let me explain: While the specific subject areas I’ve mentored in range from brand building and storytelling to leadership and team development, the common thread has been empowering people to embrace a mindset of continuous learning, resilience, and possibility.

A growth mindset is a foundational perspective that unlocks potential in every other pursuit. It’s about being hungry to expand your capabilities, unafraid of making mistakes, and persistent in the face of obstacles. With a growth mindset, you can iteratively master any skill, evolve as a leader, and achieve unprecedented impact with your personal brand or the brands you steward.

Whether coaching on professional growth, brand strategy, or inspiring teams, instilling a growth mindset has been the catalyst for breaking through limitations and fueling extraordinary outcomes. It’s the mentorship topic that transcends any single discipline and equips people to continually reinvent themselves.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

One situation that stands out was helping relaunch a struggling iconic brand (top 10 worldwide, next to Coke, Disney, and McD) that had lost relevance and meaning with younger audiences. Rather than getting bogged down in the tactical marketing execution, I realized we needed to go deeper – to rediscover and authentically redefine the brand’s core purpose and personality.

Through an immersive process of consumer exploration, cultural analysis, and creative inspiration sessions, we were able to peel back layers and unearth the brand’s original founding vision and values. We then had the revelatory insight to reimagine how those timeless equities could be reinterpreted and embodied in a way that resonated with modern sensibilities.

From there, we reverse-engineered a comprehensive brand reboot strategy – overhauling the identity, reinvigorating the product experience, and infusing an entirely new spirit into the brand’s actions and communication. The metamorphosis was so holistic and catalytic that it didn’t just resuscitate the brand, it propelled it to new heights of cultural currency and business impact.

When the relaunch exceeded all expectations and garnered international awards, I had one of those ‘damn, I’m pretty good’ moments. More than the accolades though, it validated the power of thinking divergently, digging deeper to uncover strategic insights, and bringing together multi-disciplinary teams to transform a brand’s trajectory in unconventional ways.

Describe yourself

Hey, I am Bhavye. I have built businesses and worked on Growth for about 5 years. Started by working in a Marketing agency, then spent 3 years in FinTech, and then previously headed growth at a Sequoia Backed Series A Company.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I love brainstorming growth strategies for different business models.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Trying new things. Growth is experimentation. You don’t know what sticks. You form a hypothesis and you test it. You might fail, but you keep trying.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Outbound emails (Warm and Cold). Emails have had the best ROI for me when done right.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

Imagine this: Your GTM team is brainstorming the next big move. The goal? To crack the code on acquisition via cold outbound selling. The target? CFOs. The method? Now, this is where it gets interesting.

The Gamble: Reach out to CFOs with a proposition so unique it’s impossible to ignore. The bet? “If your favorite high school or college football team wins their next game, you win $50. If not, you give us 30 minutes of your time for a call.”

Here’s what happened:

The Execution: We pieced together:

  • A lead list of CFOs
  • A scraping tool for LinkedIn to find their alma mater
  • A method to scrape upcoming football matches
  • An email campaign setup, ready to launch

The Outcome: 70% Open Rates, 10% Reply Rates

The Unexpected: 90% of CFOs who won the bet, still took the meeting.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I am passionate about empowering people to achieve their professional goals while upskilling themselves and creating change.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset is a mindset of continuous development, seeking, identifying, and embracing challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. It’s about the ability to reframe stories as learning opportunities, about curiosity to explore the art of the possible, being self-aware, receiving feedback, developing new skills and constantly challenging the status quo, and looking for ways to develop and improve oneself, one’s business, one’s circumstances. It’s having resilience and grit to face negative situations with a positive outlook, knowing that the only constant in life is change.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Design and iterate your value proposition and business model. Most businesses fail because of building things that customers don’t need or because their operating and commercial model is not fit for the market or fit to scale.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

Clothes recycling in large expensive cities is a complex challenge in fashion as people still want to keep up to speed with trends and enjoy buying new things but at the same time struggle with space, lifestyle changes, and cost constraints. Also, shopping is often a social experience with friends sharing a moment together and getting advice. How could you replicate this but still address the challenge? A few years ago I contemplated this and thought of clothes swap events/meetups, where groups of friends bring in, try out and exchange older clothes, take photos, and enjoy food, wine, and fun.

I am your people-oriented Product manager, rock solid and thorough. I love Product management and constantly work on sharing it with the world – from fresh mentees to corporate CEOs. Throughout my career, my colleagues have said I keep bringing peace and clarity into every situation.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

The experience of developing a hyper-personalised growth plan and going through it with a mentee brings me satisfaction which doesn’t feel like work.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

A growth mindset goes beyond work. It is a way to navigate a complex world with personal values like Truth, Compassion, and Ambition.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

My favorite topic is discovering with mentees all the distinct ways Product management is currently unutilized in their organization or startup, and closing those gaps which results in a higher leverage position for the mentee.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

The most recent one, for which I received a thank you letter from a director of a Fortune 500 US corporation, is where by analyzing the data I realized that an upcoming feature could be cut up and deployed earlier. This asked for bravery to come up with a suggestion, and navigating the technical aspects which would enable this. My key argument was in terms of customer value, which if my suggestion was implemented would deliver core customer value earlier without much loss compared with waiting for the entire full-feature development cycle. They listened, the director started receiving thank-you letters for prompting the functionality earlier and everyone was satisfied.

Describe yourself

Hi, I’m Jonathan, a product leader with over 8 years of experience building products, organizational processes, and teams from 0 to 1. I have experience within small to medium startups and growing in an enterprise environment. I have experienced the highs and inevitable infuriating lows of building high-growth products, so I will know where your frustrations are coming from. I’m currently a Senior Product Manager launching greenfield business verticals and focusing on AI/ML.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I want to provide others with advice that would have been useful to me rather than learning through trial-by-fire growing companies.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Having a growth mindset means taking a step back and looking at problems with an open mind. Each roadblock is an opportunity to innovate your product and create a new revenue opportunity or it’s a hard lesson to not repeat a mistake. Either way, it’s thinking with an open mind to all possible solutions and then moving with your gut after gathering data.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Becoming a thought leader in the retail media space opened so many doors for me and my company. The ability to tell your own story and your company’s story has the profound ability to set you apart.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

My experience has been hard-won and I would like to help others be more successful by sharing my learnings with them.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

I came to this industry with nothing – no reputation, no clients, and barely any relevant experience. It was only through a growth mindset – believing I could eventually figure things out if I worked at it – that I eventually carved a space out for my company and made it an industry-leading agency in the space.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Positioning, Messaging, and Growth Advisor.

If you've hit a growth wall and can't see how to break through it, book a session. I help build and align positioning, business strategy, and ideal buyers with sales, marketing, and operations.

Describe yourself

I’ve seen too many great businesses hit a wall because they don’t fully understand the intricacies of how to position and communicate their ideas in ways buyers actually care about, and in the way they want to buy. So I set out to change that by co-founding Deepstar Strategic to help B2B tech businesses wreck their growth walls.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

To share experiences and learnings with those who need it and that I would have loved to have at the start of my career.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

You need to tread your own path while also standing on the shoulders of giants. Don’t blindly follow what everyone else is doing. Question, be curious, be adaptable, and be humble.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Positioning. How to carve your own distinct space in your buyers’ minds matched with what you’re really helping them get done. This is the single biggest reason businesses hit a growth wall.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

A recent client was selling their solution as the literal thing they helped their buyers get (fast onramp to cloud and ongoing cloud management) that had better features and functions than the incumbents.

Yet growth was plateauing, sales were costly and required huge people effort, and there was dwindling long-term value realization.

Their response was to diversify their audience segmentation by firmographic data, ramp up feature builds, and do more in-person demos and free trials. A common response.

I was brought in to advise their positioning and messaging, starting with research and analysis. The lightbulb moment came when connecting the dots between all the customer interviews.

The real thing my client was doing? Helping cloud teams deliver business value instead of hiring and upskilling to build out a core cloud competency.

💡 All of a sudden, you have a product that is almost like a virtual cloud team member instead of just another cloud management platform.

That’s a very different conversation than trying to compete against the other established cloud management platforms.

It’s also a very different way to segment and target your ideal buyers and a different way to direct the product roadmap.

Describe yourself

I’m a Senior Business Growth, Marketing, and Business Development Sales professional with extensive experience in Web 2 and Web 3 Startups, Business Development, Branding, Consumer Behaviour, and B2B/B2C sales funnels.

I worked for B2C businesses such as UK-based businesses such as SortYourFuture, FluidStack, and Portuguese businesses, including the startup Speak. I also did marketing consulting for brands such as Heineken, Pepsico, KPMG, Dow, and Nestle. As Growth Strategist / Fractional CMO at Growth Division, I have been helping startups to scale and grow.

In my academic path, I have a master’s in communication and information from the Sorbonne-Paris 3 University, a Post-certificate in Sustainable Business from Cambridge University, and a specialization in The Science of Decision Making by Stanford University. In addition, I’m in a PhD program at the Iscte, in Lisbon.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I want to be a Growth Mentor as I’m passionate about the start-up world, have worked on it for quite a long time, and have some significant expertise to share, helping whoever needs it. Also, it’s an excellent opportunity to meet other mentors and exchange experiences.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

I believe that to be a good growth strategist, we need at least three qualities: curiosity, a testing and learning mindset, and being good with people.

As curious professionals, we must be keen to discover new ways to do things, innovate, and connect the dots differently, with a different perspective. As we work primarily in the digital space, there is an infinity of new tools every day, and we need to be ready to study, test, and learn from our peers.

In Growth, there is no one-size-fits-all solution; we need to experiment, learn, and adapt daily, as everything is still being determined until it gets tested.

Last but not least, Growth is also a result of how people interact and make decisions, inside and outside the companies. Decisions are only sometimes easy to carry. Despite all tools, people still decide uniquely based on their past experiences, biases, and particular ways of building trust. So, to be a good growth expert, like people and human behavior, have empathy and the capacity to scan personalities and reactions. So we can listen to them attentively – understand their needs and fears, and show them confidence and humanity.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

In Growth, there is no one-size-fits-all solution; we need to experiment, learn, and adapt daily, as everything is still being determined until it gets tested. I say this because it´s what I see and live every day.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

RevOps & Outbound Advisor | Helping B2B SaaS & Digital Agencies to accelerate revenue growth

I am a RevOps & Outbound advisor with 8+ years of experience in Revenue Operations (Mangopay, Nethone, RTB House) and Strategic Consulting (BCG, RevBrains, Movens Advisory). My key areas of expertise include: B2B SaaS Growth, Outbound Prospecting, GTM Strategy and Tech Stack Architecture.

Describe yourself

I am an entrepreneur and advisor with 8+ years of experience in RevOps, Outbound Sales, and GTM Strategy. I have worked with 15+ B2B tech startups across Europe and the US, helping to accelerate their revenue growth through strategic alignment and operational excellence. Currently, I am building a new business in the outbound automation space and, as a Venture Partner at Movens VC, advise portfolio companies on RevOps topics. I strongly advocate for a people-first approach to growing businesses, emphasizing that the true value of a company lies in its people.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I want to give back and help other entrepreneurs grow professionally by sharing lessons learned from building and advising B2B tech startups at Seed to Series B stages.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

To me, a growth mindset is the belief that skills, intelligence, and character can be developed through dedication, hard work, and a continuous learning attitude. It’s about embracing challenges as opportunities for growth, persisting in the face of setbacks, and being dedicated to life-long learning.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

Designing an effective outbound strategy that focuses on targeting the right audience with the right message at the time. I would mentor on this specific topic, because I have seen many founders and companies struggling to lay solid foundations for outbound success, and I believe that my experience in this space could help them to accelerate business growth.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

When preparing for a RevOps event presentation about the complex topic of pipeline dynamics, I needed to come up with an idea to describe it in an approachable way for the listeners. Instead of focusing on explaining a complex pipeline velocity formula, I decided to explain it by showing the similarity of revenue pipelines to the pipelines we know from our day-to-day lives, transferring liquids from one place to another. For example, if there are gaps in the water pipeline, some amount will leak before it gets from destination A to B. It explained how conversion rates work. Also, if one pipeline transfers water and another transfer petrol, the value of the second will likely be higher if the amount of liquid is equal. It explained the importance of Annual Contract Value. Such out-of-the-box examples helped all event participants to understand the logic of how pipeline works in simple terms, before getting into more complex business applications. It resulted in a much better listener engagement and understanding of the topic.

Describe yourself

Honesty and Authenticity lead my decisions and business approach – as an ex-global recruiter, I do feel that success & work satisfaction are at the intersection between the Company values (the big WHY) and the Employees’ potential (the HOW and WHAT). And I am here to support you in identifying everything in between with the keyword TALENT. All that is backed up by my time at LinkedIn and Airbnb, as well as my practice as an individual and corporate remote talent advisor.

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

Mentoring has shown me that learning is multidimensional – I’m hooked and I would love to have it in my life again 🙂

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

Growth mindset = curiosity. A 5 yo child asks around 45 questions every day, so I try to ask and keep asking every day to keep the learning curve. Step 2 is a willingness to move the needle, go the extra mile, walk the talk, and not just delegate or expect others to do it for you.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

People – working with, learning from, motivating, hiring

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

Award-winning and innovative marketing leader with over 15 yrs of experience leading high-performing marketing teams and global organizations. Passionate about bringing my business breadth, proven track record in growing revenue, and developing talent to an organization that deserves it most.

Describe yourself

My 15+ years of marketing experience is rooted in Performance Marketing for rapidly growing businesses. I have had the opportunity to build global teams, accelerate revenue through all forms of marketing for over 15 different brands ($1MM to $220MM), create operations from the ground up, and support startups through acquisitions. Along the way, I learned that I am most fulfilled when I share what I have learned as a marketing and people leader. Success should not be limited to large companies with big budgets, so it is deeply personal to me to bring my insights and experience to this community so all businesses can grow!

In just one sentence, why do you want to become a growth mentor?

I am passionate about sharing the knowledge, opportunities, and learnings in my career with others so they can achieve their own growth and success.

In your words, what does a growth mindset mean to you?

The best way to describe a growth mindset is to think about things happening FOR me, not TO me. This provides the ability to see everything as a learning opportunity you were meant to encounter and quickly shifts a mindset into a more beneficial headspace.

If you could mentor a startup on one topic, what would it be?

I can’t pick one, so I will pick two 😉 – 1. Building (and hiring) a high-performing team, 2. Improving CAC and audience targeting on Paid channels.

Describe an out-of-the-box solution to a complex problem that made you proud of yourself.

I had to create and launch a full-funnel campaign for a client I had worked with for less than 3 weeks. It was an uphill battle to quickly learn and make calculated assumptions about the target audience, write messaging on a new value prop, create the landing pages and lead flow, and launch across 3 channels. We got it done and I am proud of the innovative approach that allowed me to think about how to start the campaigns, but also what would be needed in the learnings to quickly pivot and evolve the work.
