“GrowthMentor not only serves us directly, it helps us serve our customers better too!”

We realized that there is a whole world of ideas, execution, and experience for us to learn from. It's such a safe space as well, my co-founder and I don't feel alone in our journey anymore.

Tell us something about yourself and what you are currently working on.

I’m the co-founder of Sharp Education, a B2C service-based business. We help students in high school get admission into top universities. We focus on their personal development to turn them into high-performers, and then get into strategy with them to do all the proper actions for admission.

Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?

We were spending tens of thousands of dollars on coaching, consultants, and various programs to learn skills like sales, advertising, and marketing. Whenever we needed to learn something new, we thought we needed to set aside a budget for consultants and coaches because we thought that was the way to go.

What ultimately compelled you to sign up to GrowthMentor?

As we wanted to grow our skills to advance our business, we realized that we couldn’t sustain the way we were operating the business. The idea of being able to talk to multiple mentors made us feel like we could quickly learn from other experiences to make better decisions for our growth and service, rather than banging our heads on a wall over and over to figure it out ourselves. I also love how mentors on the platform are there to give back and help out, it feels like everything is super transparent as a result.

What’s your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?

The ability to talk to a wide range of mentors was critical. We are aware that not every mentor would be the right one for us, and to get to that point of even realizing the correct mentors we need to talk to a lot of them.

What topics have you mostly discussed with mentors?

Sales, Marketing, Refining our Unique Value Proposition

Is there a specific session/mentor that stands out in your mind as super helpful?

Dimitris Farmakis made a big difference for us! Before meeting with him, we were confused about the angle we should go about our marketing messaging and our unique value proposition. He did research on us before the call and even had questions prepared at the start so he could get a great understanding of how to help. We got some great clarity from him on how to talk to our customers, what questions to ask, and what tools we can use to move the needle toward this goal.

Based on things you’ve discussed in calls, do you have any results to tell us about?

We went back to our customers and asked them a set of questions the mentors helped us come up with. We inquired and learned why they even bought from us in the first place, which helped us learn the exact messaging we needed for our marketing, content, and ads.

How has GrowthMentor helped you?

Beyond tactical tips for the business, Growthmentor has inspired us to think bigger. We realized that there is a whole world of ideas, execution, and experience for us to learn from. It makes us think that we are not as unique as we think in our problems and there is more inspiration for us to draw from than we think. It’s such a safe space as well, my co-founder and I don’t feel alone in our journey anymore.

What three adjectives would you use to describe GrowthMentor?

Experienced, Educational, Accountable
