Tell us something about yourself and what you are currently working on.
I am bootstrapping a marketplace company and, as the solo founder, I’m responsible for everything.
I’m currently developing an innovative platform designed to connect junior professionals with clients seeking affordable, high-quality services. The platform focuses on validating the skills and credentials of service providers, ensuring trust and reliability for clients. Additionally, it aims to help juniors build professional portfolios and advance their careers by offering them real-world experience and verified credentials.
Before you learned about GrowthMentor, how did you deal with the challenges you faced?
Before I learned of GrowthMentor I was actually struggling to find people from my own close and extended network who are entrepreneurs themselves and faced similar challenges and who are willing to give advice. It was not easy, but luckily one of them recommended GrowthMentor which really made my life easier.
What ultimately compelled you to sign up for GrowthMentor?
I got a recommendation from my former teacher, who is also working on his own startup when I met him for a consultation. The biggest problem I’ve solved—and am still solving—using GrowthMentor is the opportunity to learn from people who have actually done it before me.
I learned the most from those who failed the first time. They say a smart person learns from their mistakes, and a smarter person learns from the mistakes of others.
What’s your favorite thing about GrowthMentor?
The availability and genuine willingness to help from the mentors make a real difference. They are truly engaged and take their roles very seriously, providing valuable support. Their commitment and dedication create a positive and impactful mentoring experience.
What topics have you discussed with mentors, and is there one session or mentor that stands out as super helpful?
I’ve discussed topics like research, product-market fit, and growth with mentors.
One mentor who stands out as super helpful is Micah McGuire. The inputs I received from Micah regarding the surveys and interviews I am conducting really helped me refine my approach and get real results.
How has GrowthMentor helped you?
The founder of GrowthMentor, Foti, sent a commercial email about GrowthMentor which I really liked. He compared it to Netflix and I really agree with him. The fact that there are so many free options to speak and have deep conversations with real people who faced real challenges, similar to what I am going through is just amazing and helps a lot with getting my thoughts together. Every single session helped me, each in its own unique way.
What three adjectives would you use to describe GrowthMentor?
Insightful, Supportive, Empowering.
